Historic Reno Home Office Conversion in Need of Insulation

This historic Reno Home Office Conversion building located in downtown Reno, built in 1904, was in dire need of replacing the cedar shake roofing and increasing the insulating property of the house. The owner chose a Gerard stone coated steel shake metal roof from True Green Roofing Solutions – which because of the installation method increases the R-Value of the building and also added a rigid foam insulation for under panel placement.

The result not only satisfied the aesthetic expectation but significantly reduced the heat loss from the building – thus reducing heating and cooling costs.

This metal roofing, much like this historic building, will be around for a very long while!!
